Thank you Griffin Technology for donating our fun headphones!
Students enjoyed Griffin Technology headphones, thanks to Jack and Cylina Cornett. The Cornetts, who work at Griffin Technology, were able to get us 90 headphones for our new computer lab. Their daughter, Chloe, is a first-grade student here.
State Standards Literacy Focus
Each month we are highlighting a few of our SPIs (Standard Performance Indicators) on our website. This month are are looking at fourth grade standards. We often express our standards with "I Can" statements.
SPI 0401.3.4 "I can select details that support a topic sentence."
SPI 0401.3.6 "I can choose the supporting sentence that best fits the context and flow of ideas in a paragraph."
Take a moment and discuss what this means with your student. Ask your child to demonstrate these skills to you and assist them if needed.
